Nilan Johnson Lewis Shareholder Sarah Brew will speak at the American Conference Institute’s 4th National Forum on Food-Borne Illness Litigation, October 27-28 in Chicago. Brew’s presentation, titled “Apportioning Liability Throughout the Supply Chain,” will address allocation of risk and responsibility to both upstream and downstream entities involved in food borne illness outbreaks and contamination claims, including the use of indemnity provisions, insurance requirements, certificates of analysis, audits and other methods to manage upstream accountability; potential legal claims against sophisticated downstream users and third parties such as trade associations and auditors; and protecting a company's brand while engaged in supply chain litigation.
